Singular, recently ranked the best MMP on the planet by independent marketers, is happy to announce the appointment of Charlie Cao as its new general manager for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
Based in Shanghai, Cao brings a wealth of experience to Singular, with a proven track record of success in the APAC market.
He has previously served as head of business development at SocialPeta, the top ad intelligence platform, and China Mobile, the largest wireless carrier in the world with over 970 million subscribers. Cao has international experience as well, having worked in South America in sales and marketing for FiberHome.
“Over the last 3 years the Singular business has been growing at upwards of 50% year over year,” says Singular president Vince Cortese. “In an effort to accelerate our efforts in the region we have hired Charlie Cao as the new general manager of APAC. Charlie is a seasoned leader in the APAC and China region and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities ahead under his leadership.”
Singular’s APAC team has grown quickly over the past few years, starting from just 1 member in 2021 to over 10 members last year, with further growth expected. Revenue in the region is growing quickly as well.
“APAC and especially China is a huge market with thousands of potential customers,” says Cao. “We expect to focus on the top 300-500 prospects in each country, plus start-ups that are growing quickly. Our goal is to increase brand awareness and win customer confidence, and develop deep customer relationships with more Tier 1 companies.”
There’s a significant opportunity to do exactly that. While Singular is relatively new in the APAC region and China itself, Singular was rated the best MMP in 2024 by G2.
Almost 1,500 independent marketers ranked all the major mobile measurement platforms in 26 different categories including ROI, time to implement, quality of support, ease of use, and likelihood to recommend. Singular came out on top, with time-to-ROI 31% faster than the nearest competitor. Marketers also rated Singular’s marketing analytics technology above every single competitor in every single category.
“We have a very strong product,” says Cao. “Our goal is to work with clients in the region, to share it with them, and build strong partnerships.”
